Compared to Q4 2010, agricultural producer prices grew by 9.7% in Q1 2011. Prices of crop products and animal products increased by 16.4% and 1.4%, respectively. The growth was recorded in prices of oil plants, vegetables, cereals, potatoes and fruit (+23.0%, +22.2%, +18.3%, 16.7% and +7.3%, respectively). Among animal products price increases were recorded in milk (+4.1%), cattle for slaughter (+3.3%) and poultry (+2.2%). Prices of pigs for slaughter and eggs decreased by 3.1% and 8.2%, respectively.
Prices of agricultural producers in Q1 2011 compared to Q1 2010 were 27.8% higher. The price growth came mainly from crop products (+49.0%); prices of animal products grew by 6.9%. Higher prices in crop products were mainly affected by prices of cereals (+69.8%) and potatoes (+86.2%). On the increase were prices of oil plants (+59.4%), fruit (+28.3%) and vegetables (+26.0%). Prices of animal products were higher due to price growth of milk (+17.8%), cattle for slaughter (+3.7%) and poultry (+5.2%). Prices of eggs and pigs for slaughter were 25.9% and 1.7% down, respectively.
In the first quarter of 2011, compared to the previous quarter, industrial producer prices increased by 2.9%. Prices went up primarily in ‘coke, refined petroleum products’ (+13.0%), ‘chemicals and chemical products’ (+9.5%), ‘water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation services’ (+6.1%) and ‘electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning’ (+4.0%). Prices rose in ‘food products, beverages, tobacco’ (+2.9%). Prices went down in ‘computer, electronic and optical products’ (-1.3%) and ‘transport equipment’ (-0.9%).
Prices of industrial producer increased by 5.4% in the first quarter of 2011 (+3,0% in the fourth quarter of 2010), year-on-year. Prices rose markedly in ‘coke, refined petroleum products’ (+25.8%), ‘chemicals and chemical products’ (+12.4%), ‘basic metals, fabricated metal products’ (+12.1%) and ‘mining and quarrying’ (+9.5%). Prices grew in ‘food products, beverages, tobacco’ (+4.7%). Prices fell in ‘transport equipment’ (-3.4%), ‘computer, electronic and optical products’ (-3.1%) and ‘machinery and equipment n.e.c.’ (-0.6%).
According to an estimate, construction work prices in Q1 2011 compared to Q4 2010 were 0.1% higher; prices of construction material input increased by 1.1%.
According to an estimate, construction work prices in Q1 2011 compared to the corresponding period of 2010 decreased by 0.4%, prices of construction material input increased by 3.2%.
In comparison to Q4 2010, prices of market services decreased by 0.8% in Q1 2011. Lower were mainly prices of advertising and market research services by 9.6%. On the decrease were prices in rental and leasing services (-3.8%). Higher prices were recorded in architectural and engineering services (-0.7%). Prices of market services excluding advertising services increase by 0.2%.
In Q1 2011 prices of market services grew c ompared to Q1 2010 by 0.3% in total. Price increases were reported mainly for advertising and market research services (+1.5%), freight transport (+2.0%), financial intermediation, except insurance (+2.6%) and postal and courier services (+3.2%). On the decrease were prices in rental and leasing services (-4.0%) and insurance services (-2.8%). Prices of market services excluding advertising services increase by 0.2%.
