Project Modernisation of agricultural statistics

In accordance with the priorities included in the Strategic Objectives of the CZSO for the period 2022 - 2026, the Czech Statistical Office implemented and successfully completed a grant project co-financed by the European Commission (Eurostat).

The project was aimed at modernizing the system of agricultural statistics in the field of crop and animal production. The primary goal was to establish, verify its functionality and introduce into routine operation a sustainable system based on the use of data from available administrative sources (registers) owned and managed by other state institutions (e.g. Ministry of Agriculture, State Agricultural Intervention Fund, etc.), instead of using sample statistical surveys and thereby reduce the burden on agricultural units while maintaining the high quality of agricultural statistics.
