Financial participation in allocation of European subsidies will be determined based on reached regional GDP per capita

On 13 March 2012, Eurostat released data, which are substantial for claiming of drawing of financial resources from European funds for the period 2014–2020 and which were processed based on data sources of the Czech Statistical Office. According to these results, the GDP per capita in individual regions of the Czech Republic (except for the Capital City of Prague – hl. m. Praha) has not reached in the 3-year period of 2007–2009 75% of the EU27 average.
Hl. m. Praha (the Capital City of Prague) will also be eligible to draw financial resources from the Structural Funds of the EU (the European Regional Development Fund), however, with a higher financial participation in financing of submitted projects. The reason is that the share of generated GDP per inhabitant living permanently in Prague to the average of the EU27 for the mentioned 3-year period was 173.8%.
